Review: No real help here. When I found out I was being let go from my job, I immediately called here for assistance. The lady was kind and sympathetic and.asked me if I needed food stamps or a grant to get training for a new job. I was interested in that and seeking new work. She sent me ONE job lead that ended up being a staffing agency and they opted not to move forward because the client had never used an agency before. Uh, ok. Subsequent calls got me either no response or I was.directd to go on their website and look for jobs that appealed to me. Well, I can do that without anyone’s help so how is this helping. Last contact I had with my rep was over a.month ago when she said she would check status on some jobs I was interested in. Never heard from her again. Guess if I need a grant or food stamps I’m on my own.

Review: On Friday, April 21, 2023, I attended a mandatory meeting at CareerSource at 1:00pm. This was located right off 34th Street South. There were two gentlemen that conducted the class and unfortunately, I don’t know there names, but they were great, made the two of us that showed comfortable, let us ask questions, they were great. Then we went and spoke to a Councilor and I saw Mabel. She was so nice, extremely helpful and knowledgeable, she has given me all kinds of tips and direction. I am so grateful for the staff at CareerSource in South St. Petersburg, they have been outstanding!
